Today I got my new 21.5 base model iMac, along with windows 7 Ultimate. I was wondering if I should install the 32 bit version or the 64.

I wouldnt even bother. Windows 7 is not even compatible. I have tried to install windows 7 and after the install nothing happens. Have tried multiple times. will have to wait for an update from apple by the looks of it

Even when you tell it to install vista then format the disk to NTFS? I did this on my old iMac and it worked but I was just wondering what version to install on my new mac

I installed Windows 7 64 RC, which is Ultimate edition, on my iMac 3.06 with 8800gs. That is last year's high end iMac. It installed and worked fine. The only problem I had was that the Boot Camp drivers wouldn't install until I went into the drivers folder on the DVD and launched the Boot Camp 64 installer in Windows XP compatibility mode. After that the drivers installed and everything was fine. If I didn't run it in compatibility mode it told me that 64 was not supported on my machine.

    It should work.
