its not quite a mac problem but, i have a g5 powermac with a hfs+ drive and a ntfs drive using target disk mode windows 7 under disk drive in device manager AAPL UNKNOWN MODEL IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device with a small yellow explanation mark and says This device cannot start. (Code 10) this works under linux and osx86 on this laptop so its definitely a windows issue but im not sure how to fix it i tried this: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3165 windows installed the driver fine but if i plug in the device it goes to a black screen for about 2 seconds then it resets the pc upon bootup if i have it plugged in it blue screen of death's with it unplugged it rebooted normally windows popped up with this info after reboot Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: ca BCP1: 0000000000000001 BCP2: FFFFFA800567CAE0 BCP3: FFFFFA800567CDA0 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 256_1 wiindows found no soluton any other ideas or ideas how to fix the BSOD thanks
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am trying to connect my Macbook to a PC via Target Disk Mode and can't seem to get it to pop up as a readable hard disk. Any advice?
