I have an older MBP, early 2008 - core 2 duo, just before the uni body model came out. I'm running snow leopard and trying to install windows 7 64 bit. The problem i've been running into is that after creating my partition in bootcamp and restarting with the windows install cd is that i get stuck at a boot screen saying ' Select CD-Rom Boot Type' and no matter what key I hit, nothing happens.
I did some research and I think I might have to burn the windows install cd into a bootable iso disk, is that correct ?

Yes that's pretty essential. Every Win 7 ISO i've gotten from MSDN/MSDNAA has been bootable.
