windows 7 on nMP?

Has anybody managed to install windows 7 on the new mac pro via bootcamp?
bootcamp assistant wants windows 8 or newer. I would much rather go with windows 7 if there is a way to do it.

Not much point as the bootcamp drivers probably wouldn't work. Also 8.1 will give you pretty much the full functionality of 7 along with improvements and proper driver support. I do think 7 will boot fine though, provided you can create something to boot off of.

I've been pretty happy with windows 7 and I don't really want to spend money on windows 8 if I don't have to.
