Hello , i have a MBA 2012 11'' 128/8/i5

i made a second partition for windows 7 and gave 50GB to it ... after the instalation of the windows and the Apple drivers for Windows i have free only 17GB !!!! why is that?? i cannot believe that windows and drivers take about 30 gigs of disk!! any ideas?

My 30gb partition has 1.7gb spare with windows 7 and office 2003. I save all my files to a mini USB stick which I transfer to my work laptop, so it's just about enough.

Yes! If you have the 4GB MBA you can easily remove 8GB of Windows. If you got 8 gigs of RAM then congratulations, 16GB of Windows is completely useless. First off, in Windows 7 open the terminal and type this:

powercfg -h off

then do this to disable pagefile:

Open Control Panel > Systems > Advanced System properties > Advanced tab > Performance > Settings Performance options > Advanced tab > Performance Settings > Performance Options > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory > Change > Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size > select system drive > select No paging File > Click OK/Apply till you exit all windows. Restart.

Note- you might want to leave a little pagefile but you can make it 1GB instead of 8.
