Hi I have all the latest updates, and had XP installed until like 2 hours ago. I got a copy of Windows 7 Pro through my school and tried installing it. I get passed the beginning Windows is loading files screen, then it freezes at the "Starting Windows" screen. I don't understand how it can be my cd when I can do the beginning phase and boot to it, but I can't ever even begin to install because it freezes at the Starting Windows screen. I have installed 32-bit XP numerous times, 64-bit and 32-bit vista... so what is the deal? Why isn't this working..

update: It is hanging on the Starting Windows screen when using VMware as well. Does this CONFIRM that it is somehow my disk?
