I'd thought I'd have the best of both worlds and have Windows on a bootcamp partition and then use Parallels to access Windows on the bootcamp partition. I thought everything was sweet and then I realised that Windows had gone from activated to not activated after accessing Windows alternately through bootcamp and parallels.
If you activate one it deactivates the other and so on. I've read some posts that suggest this is normal behaviour because even though you are accessing one copy of Windows, natively through bootcamp and virtually through parallels appears to Windows as two separate machines, hence the activation issue.
I'm sure it's not a new problem, so is there a way of activating one copy of Windows to be used in bootcamp or parallels? I guess one option is to have one copy of Windows on bootcamp and one on parallels, but I'd rather not do that. Interested in others thoughts please.
