    Hi everyone,

i want to install windows 8.1 (for programming via opengl vers. 4.xx). I have tested to intstall it via parallels desktop 9 which was done successful without problems. The problem is that parallels desktop 9 does not support opengl 4.xx so i had to install it via bootcamp. Cause i have an imac mid 2011 (with a graphic card that supports opengl 4.1), i am not able to install it via usb (if somenoe knows how he is welcome to tell me), so i tried to install windows 8.1 via dvd. I have created an additional space on my primary hdd (1T) of 100GB.
After i have choose in bootcamp the DVD and pressed enter to start the installation it stocks at the windows logo and the dvd-rom stopped working, too. I have read in another forum that you shiould leave it for 20 minutes and then it starts itself but i left it 1 hour and nothing occoured.

Does somebody knows something about this problem and how i can manage this?

    Thanks in advance
