I am running windows 8 developer preview on bootcamp with my late 2011 macbook pro (Radeon 6700 card I believe).

I can't get the brightness to work correctly. I HAVE tried turning off adaptive brightness.

It is not the same issue. No matter what set of AMD display drives I download, my brightness level only maxes out at about half of what the screen is capable of. I can fix this if I disable the amd driver...but obviously I don't want to do this.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you installed the official Bootcamp drivers (4.0 version)?

Those worked fine on my MBA (2011).

Where do I get these? I am trying to find them.

----------

Not sure why but bootcamp assistant keeps downloading the 3.3 drivers (or maybe 3.0.3)

Tried updating the drivers, the 4.0 drivers did not help. The trackpad doesn't work, and the brightness is still messed up.

Any ideas?

it worked quite well for me, with a delay in the brightness settings, the kb backlight as well.

The best way to do it, is simply go for the bootcamp assistant and tell it to download the drivers.
