Hello!

I'm new to the forums, so nice to be here, haha.

Alright, well I recently got my new MacBook in the beginning of May-- my first Mac, and I absolutely love it.

I have a PC as well at home, and I have been wanting to share files between the two.

For some reason it won't work.
In my "Accounts" section under "System Preferences" on my Mac, there is no "Windows File Sharing" option to check off. Shouldn't there be?

Sometimes my PC shows up in my Network area in Finder, and sometimes it doesn't.

How can I easily set up my Mac and PC to share files between each other?

Thanks so much!

There's a Guide on this in the Guides area on the forum under networking. Check it out, then come back if you still have issues that aren't addressed.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick response!

Problem here is that it won't even recognize my PC's IP Address.
