Windows anomaly

Windows runs perfectly fine on my MBP, but it does some odd stuff. When I boot in windows, a red light emulates from the audio in jack, and when I plug my headphones in the speakers still play; along with the headphones. The computer's closed-lid setup also doesn't work, but I'm sure I'd just have to fidget with it; however I'm lazy and that will never get done. Anyone else having any of this?

By the way, Windows in itself is an anomaly. Don't worry about it. 🙄

Isn't the red like coming from the audio port the optical? I think under Mac OS it only turns the optical on when an optical jack is plugged in.

Go into Sound Settings control panel in windows and turn off spdif/optical output. Hey presto red light gone.
