I skipped many versions of Mac OS between my old Pro and new Neo. Now I have windows that want to resize on their own in this new version. I don't want this enabled. I can't seem to find a clear answer as to what to turn off. I have "Stage Manager" turned off so I'm not sure what I'm missing here. This feature really annoys me; if I want a window a particular size, I want it a particular size. How do I turn this off?

Can you explain what exactly is happening? I've never had windows resize automatically, unless you're talking about going full screen or maximizing?

OK so I tried that but something weird still happened. I have Messages open on the Mac. I have it so it takes up the entire length of the screen. When I open Messages on my iPhone, the Messages window on the Mac becomes a half length.

Why?!?

Try disabling Mission Control - under the Desktop and Dock menu, scroll to the bottom and look at the Mission Control section. Maybe there's something there? Settings > Desktop and Dock > Scroll to bottom > Mission Control. I don't know if this will help, but maybe? Fingers crossed?

You might want to check these settings
