    Hi Guys,

I edited my hosts file back in the day to tap into the Cydia server but I need to kick it out of recovery everytime I restore now. I want to not do that for my 4.2.1 restore. I eliminated the 74.xx.xxx.xxx gs.apple.com line out of file but I still can't get Apple verification. Do I need to add something back in for it to work again? Perhaps someone can send me their hosts file for Windows? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

You need to add Apple's server ID where Cydia's was.

What are the contents of the file now?

If you remove the gs.apple.com line, it forces your computer to go out to the Internet to get it, which means it will be correct and should work.
