So I finally decided to install Windows XP on my Core 2 Duo iMac and have run into a few problems. I already have a Parallels VM but in the end I plan on creating a Boot Camp install and then using Parallels to launch it, or just restarting into Windows to be able to use DirectX.

I started by running the Boot Camp Assistant. I created a new partition (29gb) and then restarted and booted my XP install disk. Once I got to the disk select screen I was only greeted with one choice, my Macintosh HD partition. My partition labeled BOOTCAMP was no where to be found.

Mostly my question is: Does anyone know how I can get my partition to show up??!!

Thanks

If it didn't show up, the partition was either not created or the drive has problems. Boot back to OS X and run the Boot Camp assistant once more and select "restore". That ought to get back the 29 Gb (if it was created) or at least give you some idea of what to do next. Let us know.

Regards.
