Buy a lenovo: same build quality, comes pre-equipped with both BIOS and Win 7 in your desired flavour, easily Linux-able.

Buying a MBP strictly for windows or linux is kind of dumb, in my opinion.

Lenovos are cheap plastic, but otherwise I agree - Macs are best with OS X.

Yet I've seen them outlast many similar priced computers, including macbook pros. They are most definitely not cheap.

Not all plastic is cheap, neither is all aluminum high quality. Your point is moot.

Windows 98 reminds me of a song:

Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones.
They're the modern stone age family.
From the town of Bedrock,
They're a page right out of history.

Let's ride with the family down the street.
Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet.

When you're with the Flintstones
you'll have a yabba dabba doo time.
A dabba doo time.
You'll have a gay old time.

You can say all you want about plastic, but if you spill water over a Lenovo, it doesn't break. Do the same with MBP and it's a dead computer.

Apple can learn something from Lenovo. In build quality, i have to say Lenovo > Apple because it's more durable. It even operates at high altitudes and under a wide range of pressures and temperatures.
