Hello forum

In order to use use an application on a remote Windows machine i need to use RDP/Remote Desktop.
For this remote-sessions a wired Windows keyboard(USB) with a non US keyboard layout should be used.

Question:
Is it possible to work with two different keyboards on a iMAC (and to dedicate the Windows keyboard
to the RDP-connection)??

Thank you very much for any feedback!

Yes, this works fine. You can plug in as many keyboards as you have USB ports. I’ve spent a lot of time using Microsoft Remote Desktop in macOS, though, and I seriously doubt you actually need a Windows keyboard for what you’re trying to do. Can’t hurt anything, though, and Windows keyboards are usually pretty easy to get your hands on for cheap or even free, so other than desk clutter there’s no downside.

I will try it, but probably a dedicated keyboard for RDP is more comfortable, because the remote Windows workstation does have a different keyboard layout (language).
