I have Windows 7 with Boot Camp 3.0.

As you know, Boot Camp 3.0 allows the window partition to see Mac files and folders without additional software.

I am trying to set up Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center to use on my Xbox 360.

When I tell Windows Media Player to load files from a Mac folder, I can navigate to that folder no problem, but after going through the steps, it fails to load ANY media.

The odd thing is if I use Windows Explorer and navigate to a folder and manually drop a song into WMP, it reads the song without issue. This won't work for everything since all my music is in separate folders.

Any work arounds?

I've spent close to a week looking for a solution for this and so far I have not found one.

Do other people see this issue?

I have this problem too on windows 7
I put my mac music folder in windows 7 music library but WMP12 does not import them..

but when i used Macdrive application before it worked fine

anyone have anything to insight us?

Are your files MP3 or or they copy protected by Apple? Some songs require iTunes to play and can not be used on other players like WMP. Check the songs again to make sure and also try to copy them from your Mac OS to your Windows 7 OS in your music directory there.

Otherwise, I am not sure as I have been using iTunes mainly for everything. Hope things work out.

Thanks for replying..
Well, the files are just standard unprotected Mp3s.
they work fine and get added if I put them in my windows partition.

they just don't get added when I try from the mac partition.
weird...
because I installed I iTunes, and it does add them from the mac partition without any problems. the problem is just happening with WMP

I may have found a work around, I could only add files individually into wmp, so you go into your user account and preform a search for mp3's, don't go into music folder it doesn't search... Then just drag found mp3 files into wmp and there you have you whole library. Hope this helps.
