windows media player help

as if i couldnt hate windows any more, this is happening. for some reason cnn.com wont let me watch videos from their website anymore without windows media player 9 so i downloaded it today. I watched the videos, then realized how much i cant stand windows media player and decided id rather just not use cnn for video anymore. so i delete the player but it wont empty from the trash can because all this crap in the file is locked. how am i supposed to get this off of my computer? is there a way to unlock everything within windows media player?

Try just logging off your account and then logging back on, sometimes that does it.
