I've had many wm devices, over the last 5/6 years, having cooked my own roms for them, and im now on iphone, i dont miss them in any shape or form,

take my last wm , the toshiba g900, well, having to remove the battery cover and the battery 4/5 times a day, thats appauling

im not missing cut and paste, not missing mms, not missing the erratic crashing and lockups, not missing the stylus.

whats the best stylus in the world?? your finger!, and you cant really use one of them on a wm phone either.

Can I ask you what software you were using for syncing?? Also, how much is the Tom Tom app for WM? I was looking at them breifly and I love the idea. Is ti worth it?!

I was using MarkSpace's Missing Sync, which did the job but rarely felt anything other than clunky. It also would regularly duplicate anniversaries and some other calendar entries, so proved to be rather frustrating.

I don't recall the price for TomTom - I bought it back in the version 3 or 4 days, and had then just bought upgrades to later versions. It worked well, and was very handy - I never worried about leaving my satnav in the car, and always had navigation available in my pocket. Satnav on a phone also gives the benefit of traffic updates and other live features without the faff of cables or Bluetooth links between a dedicated unit and a phone.

It's probably worth pointing out that TomTom for WinMob is now lagging about 2 versions behind the one you'll find on their dedicated satnav units. You therefore won't get features like lane assist, and I guess the maps will be somewhat out of date.

I had a AT&T 8525 and the HTC Tilt, and just got my iPhone two weeks ago. The biggest things I miss from my windows mobile phones are the home screen which displayed my upcoming appointments and new text/emails in a very convenient format, and of course copy and paste. But the crashes made me hate it passionately. I actually had to send 4 phones back to AT&T for hardware issues.

I used to be a WinMo user myself but switched to iPhone since it came out last year. And recently I had a chance to test some of the latest winmo devices, SE X1 and HTC Touch HD for a few days (fortunately :D).

At the current state of WinMo, nothing will make me want to switch from iPhone, not even the latest gadgets with 3.8" screen. What's the use of such a big estate if the video playing is not even smooth. And, the frequency of crashes, the slowness even with the latest hardware... Granted they have Copy & Paste, MMS, Video Recording, etc. but I will stick with iPhone for now.
