Windows on external USB HD?

Can I install windows through bootcamp on an external usb hd?(120 gb seagate)

I have heard it is possible, adn the instructions would be in other posts(just search the forums). However, I wouldn't recommend it, as I heard it kills performance or something.

But seeing as it's USB, the performance would be extremely bad. I'd say at least a few minutes to start up minimum.
