Hi, I recently installed windows XP professional on my macbook pro using the boot camp software that comes preinstalled on leopard OSX. Unfortunetly my macbook didn't come packed with the Leapard installation disk so I downloaded the file named "Install macintosh drivers for windows.exe" off the internet.

Windows was successfully installed and after running the driver installation software I still encountered the various problems listed below.

    • The sound driver was never installed, if i try and run the sigma tell software manually from within "Program files" it returns the error: "device object not present, restart the system and run setup again". No matter how many times i restart the system that error message continues to be displayed.
    • The Keyboard backlighting doesn't function correctly, is there any software I can download/buy that will switch it on (even if i have to do it manually)
    • There is no right click on mac, how do I right click?
    • There is also no delete button, is a subsitute used?

All help would be appreciated, thank you! :apple:

Why didn't your Mac come with the Leopard disk? It should have. You have to use the Leopard disk to get the updated drivers for Windows via Bootcamp. There are no "legal" places to download the proper drivers so they must come from the Leopard disk.

I phoned up support to ask for a disk but for some reason they sent tiger instead of leapard, because of this I decided to download the "Install macintosh drivers for windows" software and I'm pretty sure its the one which comes loaded on the disk - so unfortunetly i don't think that is the problem.

You may have already sussed this out but to right click whist booted up in windows (at least on a macbook) put two fingers on the mouse pad and click.

Use back space to delete for instance ctrl alt del is ctrl alt back space
