hi All,

to keep this short. my younger sister was just given the following

she has a MBP 7,3 and the disk is going/done.
she doesnt have the mac osx install media
the optical drive is broken
i have a windows 7 installer on a bootable external hardrive
i gave her a new small 60 gb ssd drive
she only wants window 7 as she needs it for a part time job

my question:
what is the easiest way to install win7 from external usb disk onto a new ssd drive without installing OSX?

Thank You.

What does it do when you try to boot from the hard disk?

I believe the only way to get it on there is to use an external DVD drive. The model number indicates that it is too old to boot from a Windows USB flash drive.
