Hi, I am a windows application developer. Recently I have created a windows application using VB6 as front end and SQL Express 2005 as back end. The product is deployed at customer's premises where the entire computers are networked. All except one computer are Mac. The SQL Express 2005 database is installed in the Windows XP PC. The software is working fine on that PC.
With the help of one of the technical guys, I am able to connect the Windows XP parallels on Mac book pro to access the shared folder of the Windows PC. But I am not able to connect to the SQL Server Express database from the parallels. Either by using proper Connection String or using ODBC -DSN connection. I have made necessary configuration such as TCP/IP and Port settings in the Windows PC so that it should be available in the network.
I want to run the program from the Parallels by connecting to the SQL Express 2005 database (which is running in the Windows XP pc).Could some one help me to sort out this problem.
Many thanks in advance.
