Windows service pack 1 on MBP

If I installed Widows SP1 on my mac what would be the issues? Cant I update it to SP2 once installed?

Im running MBP 2.4GHz 8600GT

install sp2 before you go to install drivers and it should work.

I installed Windows completely then went online via windows through the mac and loaded sp2 don't seem to have any issues but Im a little worried it has already been proven that doing it this way will cause issues.

I'm considering restoring my mac and leaving windows off it?

I always thought the disc being used to install Windows via Boot Camp must be SP2 to start with, but I could be wrong.

Install XP SP1 is pretty much the battle. Now that it's on there, and you've loaded SP2, there should be no problems.
