Is there a mac equvavlent to the renamer?

The renamer is bascally a program the automatically converts the filename of tv and movie video files.

eg "How I met your mother s01e01" goes to "How I Met Your Mother - Pilot"

I ask as when named like it makes it easier for meta data tagging.

Or is there a something else instead that could be used?

I tried reading the automated conversion post but it seems overly complicated for what i wanted.

All i basically want is automatically....

filename "How I met your mother s01e01" -----> filename "pilot" with correct metadata

Thanks in advance

ps. i did search but couldnt find any programs to do this.

I've recently started using Vidalin. Hands down the best tagger I've come across for movies and tv shows alike. Although, iFlicks looks pretty nice as well.

Since last night I've been using a combination of Name Mangler, File Bot and iFlicks.

Name Mangler if the start of the file name is abbreviated or has anything else prior to the name of the show.

File Bot to ensure it uses SxxExx, as this causes trouble in iFlicks.

iFlicks, because it's nice and automated compared to MetaX.
