windows/ubuntu install on macbook

so when i go to put windows xp on my macbook using boot camp when ever i try to like hit enter to start install the most weird thing happenes the keybooard doesnt work and i try a usb one and it doesnt either has this happened to anyone and have you gotton around it or any suggestions?
 
is your Windows XP install disc SP2? i tried to use an SP1 Windows install disc with bootcamp and couldnt press enter.
