Running Windows Pro 7 64 on my 1,1 Mac Pro without any problems - until I updated Windows via Windows Update to the latest patches. They all seem to be the usual security fixes. Although I completed the updates, once I reboot I seem to have lost all use of USB other than the front port on my machine. Fir example, I have a new Belkin USB hub connected to a read USB port and nothing works through it. I restored to an earlier version via Winclone, reapplied the latest patches, and duplicated the problem.

Anyone else with a similar problem?

Solved

I discovered an obvious cause for the loss of most of my USB functionality in bootcamp after doing all of the most recent Windows 7 updates. There was an updated drive that includes bluetooth and usb, which obviously was the cause. After I restored an earlier copy via Winclone, I did all o the updates except that one, and - duh - everything works.

So... beware if you are running Windows 7 on Mac Pro in via bootcamp. Best not to update any drivers through Windows update unless you have a backup.
