I have a co-worker who edits in Pinnacle Studio on a Dell (I know, right?)

Faithful as I am to my Final Cut Studio, I can't touch Windows edit system, anymore (though I confess to learning NLE on Adobe Premiere a little more than 10 years ago).

He constantly has my team converting hundreds of GB's worth of scratch quicktimes into AVI's for him - which we do using Quicktime Pro (surprisingly faster than FCP's built in export) but it is extremely tedious.

Is there Windows software that he can use to convert the files and is it even possible for Scratch Disk files to read on a computer without Final Cut plugins for it's video software, as would obviously be the case here?

Thank you!
Joe

He could purchase the QuickTime Pro key for Windows and do the conversions himself. Of course, they'll need to be in a codec he has installed on the Windows system.
