i was just reading about the great hack attack that compromised over 40 American companies and countless others all over the world. most of these companies were using Microsoft operating systems, and so were the hackers. let the Microsoft Bashing™ begin! just kidding, but if this keeps up Apple might be able to really push OS X for servers. i know that if hackers really want to hack something they will eventually get it, but this might be an oppurtunity for Apple to get into the server market.

oh no! i'm starting to scare myself now. what about all us poor basterds that don't have a firewall and all that stuff! we're all vunerable! i guess hackers wouldn't bother with private users anyway.

One of the main reasons macs don't suffer from as many viruses and hacks as windows is their low market share. I'd prefer to keep it that way! I've not yet needed a firewall, and like not having another thing to configure/troubleshoot. Sure, apple could use this as an opportunity to expand their server user base, but i hope not by too much!

Even if OSX Server did replace it, it'd soon be hacked......:( They'll find away.... I'd like Apple to maybe double their market share to 10% that'd be a nice figure I think....... Small enough to keep them on their toes.... but not too big to attract the attention of hackers or virus makers......
:D
