Hey, I'm having trouble installing Windows without a USB. I'm on a Macbook Air 13'', mid 2013, running 10.11.4. However, when I open up Boot Camp Assistant, I get the "Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk", and I'm prompted for a USB. As far as I can tell, my computer should be able to do it without a USB, but I don't know how?

MacBook air 13" right? How could you install Windows without using USB and boot camp assistant? At least, no official way available to guide you install Windows without using USB. Wait, you mean SD card slot? Hmm, might not be a very good option.

I thought you could do it without a USB now?

At some point the official installation method on newer computers appears to have changed to not use usb too, my 2015 system uses an extra temporary partition on the ssd to store the installation files.
