Windows won't start in setup

I purchased a new iMac a couple of months ago and am trying to install Windows XP home edition on it, but after loading all of the drivers from the install disc, I get a message that 'Setup is starting Windows' but nothing is happening. When I restart, it always restarts from the Windows disc. I hold down the option key and it still starts Windows. How do I get the disc out of my drive and get back to the Mac OS??
