Windows XP not in Startup Disk Preference

Hello! I am running 10.5.1 on my Intel iMac, and installed Windows XP via Bootcamp. Windows does NOT appear in the Startup preference panel, but does via an option boot. Any idea why?

I have the opposite problem. XP doesn't appear on the option menu but it does appear on the startup disk thing.

Well I know the cause for it not showing up via the option boot. There have been a few threads and it has been narrowed down to whether windows is installed on a FAT partition or NTFS, with it not appearing if on the latter. This could be related to the OP's problem.
