Windows XP on external HD with iMac

I had already read that before asking here.
That's not the right way for iMac, as you can read in paragraph 2.

That's not a good solution to me. I don't want do "corrupt" my iMac HD.

You could make a backup of your internal iMac HDD via CarbonCopyCloner (www.bombich.com) and use that backed up clone to restore from if anything goes fubar.

Corrupt? 😕 Windows won't have any effect on OS X. I would just stop worrying too much and take the full advantage of the machine.

Windows isn't designed to run externally, thus it's fairly hard to do so. E.g. Vista and 7 won't run externally at all

I said "corrupt"... Just to mean making the HD dirty. I really don't like Windows and I don't want it on my iMac HD at all. I just need it for some videogames (such as GTA IV).
