windows xp question

So i have a copy of vista and xp pro. The vista i had on my macbook but had issues with so i took it down and i would like to put my xp pro on there but my problem is when i bought the pro disk it was before SP2. So besides calling microsoft and paying for a new disk to be mailed to me is there a way to get xp por sp1 installed and then update it? i havent tried because it says you need sp2. but if someone knows a work around or anything id appreciate it.

What you can do with you XP disc is called "slipstreaming" -- basically, you'll make a new copy of your XP disc with SP2 applied to it, and then you'll install using that.
