Hello, I'm using Leopard on a G4 iMac It's got a 1.25Ghz proccessor, and 1Gb of RAM.

So it's fairly top-of-the-line G4 iMac, and it is also well above apples recommendations for using leopard on G4 iMacs.

So... in a little activity monitor application I keep in the right side of my applications menu. I noticed the litttle graph thing went up and down, up and down, up and down etc.

So i click it, and sure enough it says

USER: 62%
SYSTEM: 3%
NICE: 0%
IDLE: 35%

then, second later it will say

USER: 5%
SYSTEM: 3%
NICE: 0%
IDLE: 92%

in another second later is goes back to saying the USER is around 60+ percent.

So me, being curious I went to activity monitor, and I noticed the item named windows_server was the one that was swtiching from like 50% to 1% back to 50% rapidly....

This glitch should be fixed in leopard ASAP, because it's using about half the processor, luckily this computer isnt my main computer, so it doesnt affect me much, but its soemthing that I'd love an answer to. 🙂 thanks to anyone who helps.
