The beer I purchased yesterday hasn't been delivered yet, hence, I am reaching into precious (limited, and rapidly dwindling) reserves:

Thus, I have opened a bottle of Korbinian, the legendary doppelbock from Weihenstephaner.

Next Friday, I'm going with some friends to a tap takeover by Octobräu, a microbrewery from Hesse. Until then, I probably won't be trying any new beers, because my regular pub won't be getting any new ones until then. Oh well, then today it's another Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen.

Enjoyed a beer (or two) from the always superb Weihenstephaner last night: The excellent Festbier (my last), and the always reliable and invariably terrific, Tradition Bayerisch Dunkel.

Lately, I've mainly been living on standard wheat beer (Paulaner, Erdinger); I'm considering popping into a decent bar again tomorrow, at least. Last week, however, there was a slight oversupply of alcohol with whisky and beer tastings, so I'm currently cutting back a bit on my consumption to get back to a normal level.

I love the expression "slight oversupply".

I call it hard work ... 🙂

The problem with, as an adult, eventually replacing getting drunk with enjoying, is that you long for the enjoyment. It doesn't get less, it just gets better.
