Wine help, opening exe file

The exe file is based on Windows command prompt
I tried right clicking on the .exe program and selecting 'open with wine'
It installed, but nothing happens. The new app file does not load upon clicking on it.

Any help appreciated

Does anyone at least know any tech savvy forums which will be able to help me?

try in a full windows OS; you probably need some stuff that your wine install doesn't have.
