I have spilled a glass of red wine on my macbook, on the left side of the keyboard. I immediately turned off the power and and cleaned the excess away and left it unside down over night. I then removed the keys etc and cleaned it as best I could. This was two days ago. The computer turns on and everything, screen, tracker, sound, porgrammes are all working perfectly except for the keyboard. It is unresponsive, except for the eject button. When i press it, the eject sign comes up on the screen.... Is it possible that I just need to buy a new keyboard to solve this problem?? It is very strange that the only key working is the eject key.
Any help appreciated.

Yes, you will most likely need a new keyboard
It is not uncommon for certain keys to work and others not

But you need to see if any other components internally have been damaged
They may not fail immediately, but they could down the road

oh man, i just did the same thing, except my MBP is only 3 days old!

i am trying to decide if i should risk taking it back to apple and getting a refund, or going through the whole cleaning and drying process and hoping it all works out.

if i open up the computer, will that void the warranty anyway?
