I try to use WineBottler to get SeaTools to run in my Snow Leopard.

I don't know anything about Windows software and Wine.

I have tried all WineBottler settings i could think of, but i cant get SeaTools to run.

I have serious problem with one of my external hard disks and i need to use this app to solve it.

SeaTools for Windows

Thanks

The Wine environment generally will not run applications that access the raw hardware, such as disk diagnostic utilities. For that sort of thing, you're going to have to use a real Windows environment.

I'm not even sure that a VM will necessarily do it either, but since the drive is external it might be able to handle it by pushing the USB device into the VM.

You can download an official ISO of W7, and install it without entering a product key to get a 30 day trial. If you want to try in a VM, use VirtualBox or a free trial of Parallels/VMWare.
