OS: WinXP Home
Product: WinRAR
Error: Corrupt volumes

I have been trying to use WinRAR to archive and split large files for days but just can't get it to create a successful archive. It always happens with large files (probably 700M and greater). When I later try to read or extract the files from the split archives at least 1-3 is corrupt. I have even tried creating a solid archive, recovery files and some other things, but nothing has worked so far and each time I try I waste about an hour just on the compressing the files. Any help is much appreciated!
