Winter Ball?

I'm going to ask my friend's sister since I'm only a freshmen and she's a Senior.

But all I know is that ballroom dances are basically like the Waltz (from what I know) and from Wikipedia, Foxtrot, Tango, and Viennese Waltz. None which I know how to do except the Waltz.

Exactly what I was thinking so I'm kind of confused as well... Either they call it a ball and do ballroom dancing or they just call it a ball and start freaking.

Nobody is doing a freaking Tango or Foxtrot at a high school dance. As someone said, not Buckingham Palace.

I was about to say that the only way anyone would do a waltz is if he/she pregamed the ball (because the waltz is really the drunk person's formal dance--only three steps to a very moderate tempo), but actually, the high school kids would probably just get raunchy and dirty and grind against each other as if they were at a real club. At least, that's true if high school is anything like it was when I attended.
 
I know, I know... But I'm only a freshmen and I thought it would be called a Ball for a reason. But damn that made me break a rib from laughing 'cause it's true.

Well, time will tell but in the back of my head I had a taught it would be like a formal dance hehe.

From watching a lot of films I was under the impression that drunken fumbling was all part of the American prom experience.

Yeah, our med school has one of these, too, and calls it a winter ball. It's probably because we're all such ballers. He. He. He.
 
Dont they say that they put beer,pot,drugs,posion in the punch bowl?Because thhats what I hear because there is a dance at my school coming up

My high school has no punch bowl so I couldn't tell you if that was true or not. BTW do most schools have a punch bowl these days?

A lot of high schools stopped having open containers such as punch bowls on tables because immature guys put alcohol in the drinks and ruin the whole party for everyone.😡 Not to mention the date rape drugs they put in their girlfriends classes😡😡😡
