Winter night pictures

    I was standing in my window taking some pictures of a very special "color play" in the skies with my cannon eos400d when i noticed something weird. If someone can help me identify what this is I would be very happy :)

    At this point the first thought I got was that it might be a parachuter or something

    At this point I went back in to grab my Sigma 70 - 300mm.

    Seems like something went wrong in the air.

    I have not edited the images in any way yet, only re-sized them for the web.

    looks like some kind of small jet or something. from the looks of it, its smoke.
    just my guess.

    awesome pic/pics too!

    Interesting...can you link to the full sized images so we can see the detail better?

    Go to the bottom of the screen and type in the password "can" to access the file. Best host I found with large file sizes. :\

    WOW! Awesome catch... I believe it might be a mysterious animal/bug called a "Rod".

    I just like the pictures. I have no clue what it is in the sky though. The pictures are great though.
