Wired Keyboard Number Pad

I have a macbook purchased in november, and a wired keyboard purchased last week mostly for the number section of the keyboard.

the numbers work fine in Mac OS, but, I also have parallels to run excel, so would like to be able to use the keypad section to enter numbers - which is why I purchased the keyboard.

The numbers don't work, is there a driver or setting in parallels that I missed activating since I didn't have the keyboard when I first installed windows. I looked under Apple Support, but since it worked fine in the Mac environment, I couldn't find much help.

Did you try pressing the clear button on the keypad? The clear button functions as number lock in Windows.
