Wireguard without AppStore client

Hi

I'm new to private VPN and as it seems Wireguard is the way to go. But as far as I've seen, the Mac client is only available on the AppStore. I don't like apps from the store because they are binded to an Apple-ID and it just doesn't make sense to login to a store to download a free opensource app.

That's why my question is, if there is an other option to use Wireguard on the Mac? But please also no CLI version.

I have several machines and OS. Main machines are Ventura and Mojave.

Building WireGuard for iOS and macOS https://git.zx2c4.com/wireguard-apple/about/
As the main component is a network extension (WireGuardNetworkExtension.appex) it's probably best to get it from the App Store.

It may be a challenge to get the latest version, but there is this on GitHub.
