Hi guys!
I always shied away from wireless chargers for many reasons.
The main one being, I prefer to be able to use the phone while charging. This alone made the standard wire my preferred charging method.
On the other hand there is the problem of heat. It's not like I really need to preserve battery for years to come, or that I think a slight temperature increase would actually damage the cells. I just never liked the idea of a toasty battery.
I just found out that Samsung, some time ago, launched Wireless Charging Pads with an integrated fan. This idea I like. I don't charge while sleeping, therefore a subtle fan rumble wouldn't disturb me.
To my questions about them: Does someone here use such a charger? Does the fan actually work while charging an iPhone (I read it works with Galaxy phones only when "fast charging" is engaged... iPhones are not compatible with those speeds!)? Does it even make a difference in the end?
Thanks to you all!

I’ve used some with the fan. I never hear it.

I have both the Anker Powerwave stand and pad. Got the stand version for the office and the pad for the nightstand in the bedroom. Both have an intergrated fan. In a room environment, you won’t notice the fan sound at all. In a quiet room such as on a bedroom nightstand, you will hear it, a little...like a slight white noise. It didn’t bother me but it drove my girlfriend nuts...so it’s out in the living room now...lol

I would say there are effective, in keeping the phones somewhat cooler but not dramatically so. It would also depend on if you use a case or not...a case will keep the heat in as well, especially thicker cases.

iPhones only support up to 7.5 watts for wireless charging. Whatever you decide on, make sure it states that specific number. Cheaper ones may say 10 watts or 15...or more but may not support 7.5...If a charger doesn’t support 7.5 then your phone will only charge at 5 watts.

Here are some links on the anker chargers...they have pics that show the fan and airflow I believe...

Thank you for your replies guys!
I was interested in the Samsung chargers (I hear they are pretty good at this kind of technology), namely the model EP-P3100. I tend to this model exactly because of the fan, I'd like the phone to stay cool while charging. I'm not affected much by noise, so I don't care about that! These chargers come with USB-C cable and power adapter in the box and are pretty cheap nowadays. On the package it doesn't say much, just "Adaptive Fast Charge 15W", which I guess is a Samsung standard. On the back it lists some Galaxy models, the newest being the S9/S9+ and Note9. There is no mention of 7.5W. Does this mean it cannot charge iPhones at 7.5W?
I use an Apple Leather Case on my iPhone, I think that's thin enough for wireless charging... I hope!
