New Civic 2022 Hatchback, and wireless Car Play works so well.

However, my iP13 will not consistently charge on the wireless charging pad that came with the car. I have seen others report this searching the web, but wondering if people following this forum are experiencing this (and found a fix).

I would assume it's due to magsafe incompatibility with the car charging pad, but I don't have a non-magsafe phone to experiment.

Thanks for your thoughts and experience.

In my experience, factory-installed wireless chargers in cars are terrible. They have a tendency to generate a lot of heat without a lot of charging.

And it’s not a Honda thing either. The stock charger in my M2C was so awful that I stopped using it altogether. Now I only charge via USB. It’s slow, but definitely faster than the wireless way. It also doesn’t cause my iPhone to get hot to a point where it’s scorching hot.

I always use a charging cord in my new car the phone on the chatting pad moves around too much. I use a 20 watt cigarette liter one and it works great.
