I was told at some point that introducing metal between the phone and wireless charging pad would be very bad. I have a case with a kickstand built in. The kickstand has a hinge with a metal pin in it. Would this be enough metal to cause issues during wireless charging

It does charge. I didn’t know that that was the idicator. Sorry it sounded like introducing metal between the charger and phone could cause overheating or other voltage issues

Well if you’re concerned then you could always take the case off to charge. Typically the “problem” is simply that wireless charging does not work through metal. It sounds like the metal content in your case is not enough to cause issue.

The case is a plastic snap on case. I’d rather not remove it since it’s a pain to get on and off. Thank you for the feedback. I thought metal between the phone and charger was worse than just negating charging. I thought it could damage the phone or something
