I’m new to wireless charging and admittedly am probably still thinking of the old school NiCd batteries and their degradation, but alas.....

I picked up a Qi charging pad today and am wondering if it is healthy for the Li battery to charge and stop charging quite often. To clarify, is it bad for the battery to sit at my desk with my Qi pad and pick up and set down my iPhone multiple times?

I still have the old school mentality of trying to drain the battery and avoid topping off a charge which doesn’t apply anymore to Li batteries.

I’m not really sure, but my thought is that the slower charging through Qi should be better for battery longevity, versus quick charging all the time.

I have my Qi charger on my nightstand, and keep the cable for charging at my desk. But I do iOS development for a living, so I plug my phone in anyways.

I also noticed that the phone gets quite a bit warmer charging thru the Qi than standard cable charging.
