Wireless charging is awesome!

I wasn’t super excited about the wireless charging, but got a cradle for my nightstand cheap of amazon —- and this thing is AWESOME. Charges fast, picks up immediately and one less cord “to deal with”.... while my phone sits “pretty” at night!

Yup, I've had phones with built-in wireless charging since the Nexus 4 and it's great. Even my Nexus 7 LTE tablet has it as a built-in feature.

I'm not sure why Apple waited so long to add this feature.

I'm now using an iPhone 6s and miss the wireless charging. I have tried wireless charging receivers that plug into the 6s lightning port but it's a pain if I need to charge the phone and don't have a Qi charger laying around.

One thing I must say is that the lightning connect seems much more robust that the micro USB used on many non-Apple phones.

Whats your definition of charging fast? Because the two wireless chargers that I have used are incredibly slow. 4-5x slower than just plugging in the lightning cable.

The Airpower charging pad will a huge selling item in 2018. Not just because it's a proprietary product, but because it can charge the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPod simultaneously. That's a nice convenience.

Agreed. I just hope it charges faster.

Nice feature I guess, but I use a case 100% of the time. Could be a PITA taking case off to charge rather then plugging in. JMO.

1. I have a case on, clear gel type not super sturdy and it works fine
2. “Fast” being about 75% of cable speed maybe...

You get a case that supports Qi charging so you do not have to take the phone out of the case.

I plan to buy these - supports fast wireless charging when it becomes available via iOS software update that's promised.
