I tried charging my phone in my 2018 car that has the wireless charging pad but the iPhone did nothing I was expecting it to charge or something since I see universal charging pads.
Is there something I need to turn on my phone? I tried it without a case also to make sure there wasn't any interferences. I am so bummed if it can't charge in my car.

Depending on the make of your vehicle, there should be a button/switch to turn on the Qi charging pad.

Check your vehicle manual you may have to activate the pad in vehicle settings..

The iPhone X is inductive charging, so it should work. It uses the same standard as the note 8. Try a different charging pad, or take it back to Apple..

Hope this helps lol...
